Bayside Powerhouse Saints Junior Teams

We are are family friendly club currently fielding teams catering for U8s to U18s. We have teams suited for all skill levels in all age groups.

Since the inception of juniors to Bayside in 2012 we have grown our junior division to over 180 players.

We have a unique BPS initiative called the J2S which is our Junior to Senior Development Program. Overseen by Coaches from the senior division this program is designed to identify junior players who have the potential and desire to continue their hockey journey to a higher level.

We also support our Juniors on their journey to Victorian State Championships. We have many players selected for Southern Metro Sharks Rep hockey as well as several players in the Vic State team.

For the 2026 season Bayside Powerhouse will field the following junior teams:

Come and try

You are welcome to come and have a try at hockey at any of our training sessions (see link below). We will be able to support you and provide you with equipment including a stick while you are learning. Hopefully you will catch the hockey bug and become part of the Saints family.

2026 Age Groups

For the purposes of determining player eligibility the following applies for the 2026 Hockey Victoria winter competition:

Under 8 competition:
- Born on or after 1 January 2018
Under 10 competition:
- Born on or after 1 January 2016
Under 12 competition:
- Born on or after 1 January 2014
Under 14 competition:
- Born on or after 1 January 2012
Under 16 competition:
- Born on or after 1 January 2010

Parents to players

In the spirit of the family nature of our club, we actively encourage Junior parents to join both our weekend and masters teams so they too can stay active. We have many families who play together in the same team with some great on-field friendly rivalry.
